Ingrid,

I just came in to give the messages a quick look/see and saw yours.

Please, please try to live in the present. You don't gain anything by worrying

about the future. You do lose the present day and if it is a good one, why do

that. Give the good days to yourself and your family.

Re: Janet, cycle # 12

The sad thing is I never thought about death before. Now, I have been

thinking about it. Yes, it scares me to die and leave my son and

husband. So much I need to finsih yet. Am Praying that this cancer

does not come back!!!! Ingrid

Thank YOU!! I try to do that. Most days I can. But... then there are

times that I worry about it. It does not happen often, but I try to

not think of the what if's..... It is just that I want to see my son

grow up and things like that. I am thankful that my cancer was taken

care of. And that I was able to tolerate the chemo. I do want to be

strong. But then I think it is only human not to fear this thing. It

is a foe I must fight. Thank YOU for your advice. Ingrid

That must be hell thinking of that Ingrid. I feel for you. My dad died from

leukemia when he was 36, there were 6 of us kids aged 2 to 17. After I had my

son I imagined how he felt having to leave all of us, it must have been

horrible. ~~Dianna

Find a local support group. It's safe to cry and vent and the hugs really,

really help. They will all understand what you're going through because they've

all been there. It's the best thing I did for myself after my diagnosis.

Everyone around me is being strong and sometimes I just wish someone

would just put their arms around me and cry with me, when I'm

feeling scared of dying.

Dear Marty,

I feel like I lost almost an entire year to this (July 22nd to be exact). I had

lots of problems with the radiation (burning, bleeding, etc and that was only

what could be seen on the outside---cripes).

The chemo was doable until the last (#6) where they only got a little be in and

I went into shock and was rushed to the hospital. Then depression and mental

problems sidelined me and I was in a hospital for that.

I cannot tell you the difference since the treatments are over. Of course, I

have completely changed my life. I am eating only organic anything; I stopped

drinking soda (diet) and live on seltzer instead and water of course and bought

a juicer. I am taking a product called Reliv which is helping me gain my

strength...it is basically powdered food in a can. I drink shakes 4 times a

day.

I feel great. Have been doing my gardening and so many other things I am

astounded.

I still have tingles in the tips of my fingers and my feet are awful.

So.........I went for a pedicure yesterday and at least they look nice.

Hang in there.

Karima

So glad that you are feeling better in your second week. Yeah, know

what you mean about feeling in a haze. I felt that way too. Not so

much the in-between week but during the chemo week. Not sure if it

was me mentally since I knew what was going into me me or not.

Sometimes I think we do things to ourselves to protect ourselves

mentally.

Were you in a private room geting chemo or did you share a chemo

room with others as they got chemo also?

I hope that your next chemo round is easy. More then likley you

will find it going the same way as your first. Just say a Prayer as

they start it. I did that and felt like I was not so alone with it.

God is always there at your side. I am Praying for you and all in who

have to suffer with this. Ingrid

Hi Lori I think I would have been like that too. if I had it for some reason I

don't think I would want anyone to know I don't know why But when my sis trys

to hide her tears from me I talk to her and make her tell me what she is feeling

weather it is fear or what she is afraid her dog wouldn't be taken care of so

she wants to give him to the firedepartment. She has a dalmation. But I

seriously beleave she is going to be ok. the Dr said waht she has is curable

because they think they caught it in time. But then they said if she doesn't do

this she will die a painful death.

So u didn't want anyone to know how did u tell them? or how did they find out?

They knew I had cancer just didn't know how scared I was! I don;'t

think they still know! the only time I cried in front of my husband

was when they actually told me it was cancer! When I had my

colonoscopy the biopsy came back benign so after my surgery when the

report came back cancer we were all shocked including my Dr.s!
