Guest guest
Lori, Not for sure exactly what it was....seemd pretty strong but it is not morphine. One thing for sure she feels no pain. Janet is sleeping away. They think the blood pressure is caused by not enough fluids. However after they gave her some IV's it helped. Just have to make sure she drinks enough water. As far as care giving as those who will atest....you just do what you have to do. I feel for those who have to do this alone and they have no help. Your sister will be happy that you are there and there is not much else that you can do....giving her support and being there for her is enough. You will know what to do. lori hunter hunter528hunter@...> wrote: Larry Do they give her morphin? They told my sis she could have it any time she wants it. We probably won't know until after 5 PM if everything is okay for her to finish up round number twelve. Worked on a few question for the doctor last night, making our list and checking it twice.....Always ask questions. I will drop you all a line later.... Peace, Larry...I firmly believe none of them are fast. It always takes over an hour to get blood results for Glenn back and then another hour for chemo to be mixed, etc. I won't say...Have a great day, b/c waiting around at the hospital is not my idea of having a " great " day, but Have a great " being together " day....you and Janet!! Guest guest
Is hard to get people to drink water. I know if I don't consciously think about it I won't do it either Is why I carry a bottle with me whereever I am in the house and make myself drink... I hope Janet gets through the chemo okay and she probably will with the IV for fluids. My bp was up last week too on one day. Way higher than usual 157 or something. Not at normal for me. With bp meds am down low where it needs to be usually. Could be I was somewhat dehydrated.. They always push fluids on me and am running to the bathroom... Really flushes me out good. LOL>.. Take care and the sleep is good for her. Tomorrow is another day... God Bless Jolene Larry Green wrote: > Lori, > Not for sure exactly what it was....seemd pretty strong but it is not > morphine. Guest guest
I agree with you. I know they are all worried about me and trying to be strong and not show it. Of course I won't show how scared and worried I am. Yes it would be nice to have someone just put their arms around me and let me cry. They all want to work so hard on you feeling positive, they don't realize that sometimes we need to think about the reality of the situation, and the possible futures, even if we hope and pray and expect ONE future, how can a human not think about all of the possibilities, especially if they are NOT unlikely??? Guest guest
I know. When I was diagnosed I was so scared but I didn't want anyone to know it. I would hear everyone talking and saying I can't believe how strong she is,but really I wasn't. My husband wouldn't show anything either, to me, he would talk to our friends and they would tell me about it later, but I kinda wish he would've let ME know, but he didn't want me to see how scared he was cuz he thought he had to be strong for me! Guest guest
Putting this in another way. If your spouse or caregivers showed how hurt they were by your cancer and showed their fears, would this not hurt you more since you cannot tell them that you will be fine and be here for them. I would think that this would hurt so much more. To not be able to reassure anyone. Not sure if showing fears would be good or not. Guess it would depend on the person. Ingrid > > I agree with you. Guest guest
Ingrid, I just came in to give the messages a quick look/see and saw yours. Please, please try to live in the present. You don't gain anything by worrying about the future. You do lose the present day and if it is a good one, why do that. Give the good days to yourself and your family.
