We went from the crib to a day bed (bottom trundle, so it stayed

close to the ground) at about 12 mos. and Becky has done great. I

am sure that she would do fine on the top bed but I have always been

worried about her falling, or climbing too.

I know that toddler beds aren't too high off the floor, or you could

always just place a matress directly on the floor (that is what we

did for our son and he did not have clubfoot).

Good Luck! :)

With my non clubfoot son we got him a twin bed. We put one side

against the wall and bought one of those plastic/mesh side rails for

the open side. It is not as long as the bed so he can climb up and

down on the bottom part of the bed but he doesn't roll out. HTH.

Big boy bed and DBB

Hi everyone,

Ridley is doing well. He's in his DBB 12hrs a day now. He's running and is

trying to jump and kick a ball. I'm so proud of him. He's 16mtns now.

We want to move him out of his crib into a bed. I'm a bit worried about him

falling out of bed as he thrases about a lot. I know you can get those bar

thingmys. But he loves to climb also. I guess I'm just worrying. He's

climbed stairs with a DBB and gets down off Sofas with one on no trouble.

Any advice for me changing to a Big boy bed?

Thanks everyone,

Melitsa
