They do have the plastizode inserts in them. Jen & Olivia (10-18-01 severe left clubfoot) plastizoid insert?? Just wondering if the heel insert is still needed in the new markall shoes? You would think that I would know - considering they are our third pair of shoes. They do have a thicker padding on the tongue and in the heel portion, so I'm assuming they are the new ones. When I spoke with an orthotist (not ) in Iowa City he said that they still put the inserts in the new Markell shoes because they feel the padding still is not enough to promote proper heel formation (rounding). Ours having the inserts.
