Unfortunately I do not see any from Pakistan. Maybe you can check

with Dr. Ponseti to see if he has been communicating with any doctors

not listed on his website. He is wonderful at replying to e-mails

and I beleive I read a post that said he sends out replies on Mondays

and Fridays. I sent my first one to him last Thursday and had a

reply on Friday. Here is his e-mail address.

There is at least one doctor in Pakistan who has been interested in

the Ponseti method. I do not know his name or where he is located,

but Dr. Shafique Pirani of Vancouver, BC Canada does know how to

contact him. Dr. Pirani's e-mail address is piras @ aol.com

Dr. Pirani met the doctor from Pakistan at the 3rd International

Congress on Clubfoot in August 2002 in San Diego. A brief report on

The doctor from Pakistan was there to present a study that he had

done on clubfoot treatment. During that meeting there was a lot of

information presented concerning the Ponseti method. Dr. Pirani and

the doctor from Pakistan discussed the possibility of getting the

Ponseti method introduced into Pakistan.

Since then Dr. Pirani has also been involved in introducing the

Ponseti method into India and has made a number of trips there. A

Here is a website called Pakdoctors.info that is in Pakistan and has

a lot of information about the Ponseti method. It does not

specifically list any doctors who use the method, but would indicate

that there are at least some doctors in Pakistan who are probably

using the Ponseti method.
