Hello again,

I have most of the details finalized. I have someone who will assemble the

quilt, I have a printer that will print the footprints onto the quilting

squares for $3 a footprint (my husband will scan them onto a disk first),

but I am still waiting to hear back from Printed Treasures the company that

makes the printable quilting squares. The quilting squares from Printed

Treasures run about $3 a square. I have been trying to get them donated for

free. I submitted a letter awhile back, but evidently it was lost. I have

since sent a new one to the President and hope to hear back by the end of

this week or at the latest beginning of next on whether or not we will get

the squares donated for free. I am confident that even if we don't get them

for free we should be offered a significant discount!

For those of you who still want to participate I may ask you to send me no

more than $6 for each child's footprint. Hopefully it will be less then

that, so wait to send me your stuff until I post with my final response from

Printed Treasures. I will cover all of the extra expenses for the quilt, but

would just appreciate help with each individual square. At this time

everyone should make their babies footprints. All I need is your child's

footprint on a white sheet of paper using whatever you have available,

preferably paint. You can use any bright color like green, blue, orange,

red, or pink (no black please). On a separate sheet of paper I need your

child's first and last name, birth date, bilateral or unilateral

(right/left), treated by, where you are from (ex: Santa Ana, California).

I have had a large response to this quilt and I can tell you it will be

quite special once it is finished. I am hoping to get 50 footprints total.

The University Of IOWA has already promised that they will find a special

spot in the hospital for it to be displayed permanently. By the way Dr.

Ponseti knows nothing about this, this will be a complete surprise for him!!

Please let me know if you have any further questions. Also if you would like

to send the donation with your footprints wait until next week! I look

forward to seeing all of our kiddos little feet!!!

P.S. I will post pictures for the group of the quilt once it is completed!
