Guest guest
, Please call your Rheumy asap in the morning-any time your situation changes drastically for whatever reason, they should be notified. This sounds like a drastic change. In fact, quite probably the office has an answering service-so you could call now and ask if you should be concerned, what you can expect, is this something that needs immediate attention and so forth Kathy inCt
Guest guest
, make that call to your rheumy now, as in YESTERDAY!! You shouldn't be doing that. I started the injectable MTX last week and didn't have that effect. In fact, my RA symptoms improved and the side effects of the MTX decreased. That doesn't sound right. Call your rheumy, girl!!,,,,,,Marina
Guest guest
My cheyenne will be 4 months in week. So far she's only been so physical therapy 3 times. The 2nd time she went to pt her therapist wanted to her get xrays to make sure she didn't have cranio. Well she had the xrays done and they came back normal. I think they did about 4 different xrays on her skull. At her physical therapy appt today her therapist said she was suprised she didn't have cranio. Now the therapist is freaking me out. So I'm just a little worried. She also got a torticollis neck brace thing to help straighten out her neck. With her constant tummy time her head went down 2 mms. She still wants her to have a helmet. Her head measures at 12mm, and orthodics said insurance won't cover a helmet if her head shape continues to improve. Her pt said we'll just send in appeal letters because it's necessary for her to have it. Does an xray show everything you need to know about cranio? Because I really don't want her to have to have one of those scans done unless it's necessary. Thanks
Guest guest
Has your ped. mentioned the possibility of cranio? I would put a call into your pediatrician. I am sure this is scary. Why does the PT think she has cranio? I've heard that a CT scan is more accurate in diagnosing cranio but I'm not sure. I would agree that if it were my baby that I wouldn't want a scan done unless it was necessary. Cranial Technologies won't band a baby if they have cranio. We banded our son at 8mm as his highest but he was also 7.5 months old. I think being you are seeing some improvement and your daughter is only 4 months that you should continue to reposition, PT, and tummy time and if it continues to improve great. If not, then band at 6 months. Let us know what you end up doing. lisa > > My cheyenne will be 4 months in week. So far she's only been so > physical therapy 3 times. Guest guest
Thanks for responding. I mentioned his going to bed early to his dr along with the accidents. She didn't say one way or the other if it was the medicine but she didn't seem concerned. I guess I will have to ask her if it is instead of just mentioning that these things are happening. I assumed the side effects would have gone away by now but I don't know. Re: ( ) Should I be concerned? Hi , Could that be a side effect? I would definatly tell his Dr. Take care, Betty <lisa_leonard@ sbcglobal. net> wrote: My 6 yr old son has been on Risperdal since before Christmas. Since starting on it he has started having almost daily daytime accidents sometimes 3 or 4 times, none at night. His dr doesn't seem concerned. My son told me yesterday he wishes that wouldn't happen. He has also started going to bed early. He puts himself to bed between 8 and 8:30 a lot of the time. His bedtime is 9:00. That doesn't bother his dr either. He gets really thirsty though not every day and all kids do at times. Diabetes does not run in my family but we know nothing about the paternal side. Does this sound like a combination of his medicine and being a 6 yr old or is this something that should be checked? Thanks!
