Time off of helmet

My son started wearing his Hanger helmet on 12-7-06, just 3 weeks

now. At the end of the first week he had two areas that needed

adjusting, at the end of second week he had another area, thankfully

all has worked out and he is doing well. He seems to have sensitive

skin so as we have been acclimating him to the helmet I've been taking

his helmet off for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening.

Should I eliminate the morning removal if his sensitive symptoms go

away? Do you think if I continue to do a two hour break out of the

day his improvements won't be as significant?

Thanks,

Son , hanger helmet 12-7-06

Hi , I definitely think that if his sensitive skin symptoms go

away, you should definitely cut out one of the hour breaks. Maybe one

extra hour won't make a world of difference in the amount of change

your son sees every day, but when you add up all those extra hours when

the helmet is off over the course of the whole treatment, that is going

to be A LOT! The way I see it, the more time spent in the band, the

more correction, right? :) So if his skin will tolerate it, I would go

back to only one hour off per day.

madison also has a hanger helmet and they told us to keep it off for 2 hours a day. 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night. i thought that was their recommendation. i think you will get good correction with the 2 hour break, but if ryan can tolerate just a one hour break, then i guess the more time in the helmet the better. candice, nysuperbowl_20 <lisacleveland@...> wrote: My son started wearing his Hanger helmet on 12-7-06, just 3 weeksnow.
