Ya know, I thought that was it too since I sit in front of a computer all day at work. But I get this on my days off too. I think I'm gonna get some of that special visine when I get paid just to get by on. SpiffJudy P wrote: Yes, yes yes, but I don't have a reason or any answers so we'll eagerly await other responses. All I seen was the checklist, were are we sposed to go from there? I looked at the canine version to see what there was and they said Shetland Sheepdogs are susceptible to thyroid problems. This could explain why Dun's skin's so dry and he's gotten so chubby. You know, it's kinda wierd, if I'm up and at it, so's he. If I'm draggin my backside, so's he. He's such a moma's baby that I wonder if he's picking this up from me. Just my luck, I give my dog thyroid problems! I went thru the whole checklist, did you? I counted up 25 that I have. SpiffJudy P wrote: I've seen that list and it's great, but it's still weird that it would be the only hypo symptom that I have. Hi

Yes I have problems with my eyes-they get dry, blurry and I cant see

as well--also, they will water really bad off and on. I have noticed

sandy and grainy stuff in them as well-

When I've changed brands of thyroid medicine-they can get better or

worse depending on the meds.

I dont have a cure for it though-I'm not sure what it is

Ah, poor Spiff LOL. I actually went through that whole list with my daughter a couple of weeks ago and had her take it to her appointment today. I personally have very few of them now, because I'm well medicated... Judy

Maybe I'll try to beef up the water to a sure 3qts a day. I don't remember my eyes being quite so bad on that, but maybe it's been progressive, despite the amt of water I drink. I'll try it and see. All it can do is flush out my system, and that's a good thing. Spiffjewelandmark2000 wrote: >>

I'm not sure about that Spiff. Too much water can be as bad as not enough because you're body can stop holding it. Of course we don't want it holding a ton, but enough. My labs showed dehydration even though I drink a ton of water. Now I'm adding 1/4 tsp sea salt and 1/2 tsp vitamin C crystals to my workout water and using a little sea salt on my food and it does seem like I'm not quite as thirsty. If you try it, let me know if it works... Judy

Actually I have tried the carrots and sea salt thing, just a couple times a week or so, only about 5-6 baby carrots, and I find I'm not all that thirsty anymore. But I never really really get thirsty anyhow unless I've been working outside. I can't do the vitamin c because I'm allergic to it. Sounds wierd yes, but if I take vitamins and don't take c and eat decent, I'm good. If I eat tomatoes or citrus fruit, my head stuffs up like cork. Since I'm allergic to citrus fruits, I'm allergic to citric acid, so I can't take those vitamins, but I can handle ascorbic acid better, still can't overdo it tho. I'm wired wrong.
