I'm SO excited to say that YES we have officially graduated from her helmet! We're so happy, and the improvement was beyond our wildest expectations. After experiencing a minor setback around Thanksgiving when they said she was good to go, and we stopped her helmet, she regressed significantly. Her head started flattening out again but most noticeable was the top of the sides started flaring out again. We did another 8 weeks in her helmet, and the improvement is amazing. They said to wean her off on a reverse weaning schedule, and we are going to do just that. They said as long as she isn't getting red marks, it won't hurt her to wear it during the day for a few weeks longer, but they recommended stopping it at night as of tonight. That's great! So overall, we had the following changes:The flatness in the back of her head improved 67%. The occipital "pointing" on both sides improved 56%.The right forehead asymmetry is resolved 90%.The eye asymmetry is resolved 82%.I can honestly say we'd do it all again, and the results are amazing. I hope this can be some inspiration to those of you just starting out, whether it's casting or finding a doctor. We did it, we survived it, and our daughter took to her helmet like a fish to water.mother to Savannah 14-3/4 months oldPlagiocephaly, brachycephaly, and macrocephaly

To see the before pictures, look in the " S " album for Savannah.

I posted two new pictures I took yesterday. They're not the best, and

they're definitely NOT posed pictures for her head, but I was excited

and wanted to give you an idea of how much she improved. If you see

the before pictures, you'll see why we're so excited!

Our little round-headed baby! .

P.S. It will be nice for her to have all of her hair grow in too!

Right now she looks like she's in chemo with all of the hair loss from

the band.

What were Savannah's final measurments? I remember you saying that she

went from 103 to a 92 CI and that you were hoping for more correction

before she graduated, just wondering if she got it. Were her results

after this graduation as good as or better than when she graduated the

first time? Since she is older this time around hopefully you won't

have any issues with regression again. When she was banded the second

time around did she have to be recasted/scanned or did they refit the

old band? Congratulations again on her graduation!
