Well, y'all, thanks for the support so far. This is a great group. I look

forward to reading your messages all day long.

I am off for a few days to visit my mom in CA, who has recently turned into

a Vegan for her diabetes. She says it helps so well that she no longer has

to take her oral meds to keep her blood sugar level. I am looking forward to

sharing some of my new recipes for whole grains with her, and to learning

some from her. I may even try tofu again. Gotta check if that's on the Core

list . . .

Hoping I have some great ideas to share with you when I get back. Next week

I intend to perfect my Tabouli recipe and share that with you all - it's an

awesome Core food - you mix the grain and herbs and keep it in the fridgfe,

then just serve up a dish and stir in any fresh chopped veggies you like,

especially tomatoes, olives, peppers & cukes, then squeeze on some fresh

lemon juice and drizzle your daily serving of oil, if you want. It is very

flavorful & very fresh tasting! I plan to serve it at my next social, with

all the different veggies in bowls, for people to make as they like. Just

have to perfect my grain and herb recipe, as I used the pre-mixed from

Fantastic Foods last week, and it's not Core.

You all are going to think I'm MIddle Eastern pretty soon, but I'm not - I'm

Canadian-American, living in AZ for the past 15 years. it just seems that

the Middle Easterners have the best whole grain recipes . . .

Sometime I'll share a Core hummus recipe, too . . .

Bye now,

Cindi
