Guest guest
Good to know. That's the major thing I'm interested in is using to track all my WW stuff. That and putting all my to do lists in it. That's why I'm not sure I want to spend a lot of money on the little bugger. But, my husband tells me it's like all things computer...once I figure out all the other things I 'could have' done had I got the nicer model I will be upset. I'm sure he's right about that, it's better to have some extra things I don't use then to be wanting to upgrade in six months. Kris -----Original Message----- Sony's pulling out of the PDA market, sure 'nuff. I love my TJ-37 but you might want to go with a Palm One device. I hear that the Treo 600 is pretty sweet (cell phone/PDA that runs the PalmOS), but at nearly $500, it's pretty pricey. If you do buy a PDA, make sure it has the PalmOS on it so that you can run WWCalc.

Guest guest
No I don't darn it. Can you subscribe on-line? Kris Re: Goal Delema Kris, Do you get the magazine, " Consumer's Report " ? The latest issue has a great report on the Palm Pilots - the OS and PC types. Palm One was listed as one of the best. Do try to get a copy and study the list. It's very good. Guest guest
Yep, he's a good one, that's why I keep him around. I really expected jewelry because he loves to buy jewelry. He has always been into geology and mineralogy so he likes shinny rocks....that's always a plus in a man ;o). I got a diamond bracelet last year when he came back from a trip to Chicago 'just because'. I love it because it's from my honey and because it fits just perfectly so if I gain weight I will know it because it will get to tight. Diamonds are always a good thing though and I have diamond earrings on my list. It's kind of a funny list because amongst the jewelry, travel, and palm pilot, is a new microwave and an Ionic Breeze air purifier. I have allergies and have been wanting one of those for a while but it's another expensive item that would be nice but I'm sure I could live without. Kris -----Original Message----- Kris, I think your husband's giving you $1,000 to spend is an amazing, wonderful, priceless gift! It means far more even than the dollar amount! Wow. You have yourself a winner!! As for what to spend it on....I'd suggest that you breathe deeply and not rush into anything. But personally? Diamonds work for me. How about a nice diamond bracelet that will remind you on a daily basis that you NEVER want to put that weight back on? yep, diamonds work for me (VBG) !!! Guest guest
Well what you could do is get a cheaper Palm for now and see if you feel you'll use it. I'm Ms. Gadget, but for some reason I find the only time I use the Palm is when I'm away from home and need to journal. Maybe because I have a computer in front of me all day (when I want to, obviously I don't sit in front of it). I love my iPod! It's my workout partner on the bike, and my Lyra is my workout partner when I run (because my iPod skips on long runs). If it were me I'd probably either buy one big thing, or a bunch of little things that I'd love to have, but just haven't bought for myself. Maybe a new bike...or that Timex GPS HRM. Guest guest
Kris, what a wonderful gift. I can't wait to hear what you get with it..I would take my time too, because sometimes we get over anxious to get spending, and end up wasting..have fun.....Kallie ---------------------------------------------------------------- In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Jay & Kris Swofford " <jayswof@e...> wrote: > > Please forgive the bragging but really I need some help. > I have the best husband in the world!! My wife asks for things like a composting bucket for the kitchen counter, a blender, a new vacuum cleaner, and so on. I'm different than that. I still want toys and games. -- Slainte, S. Guest guest
LOL! For Christmas I got a new vacuum and I love it. I know a lot of my friends would get upset with being given 'household' stuff but that's usually what I ask for. Over the stove is the kind of microwave I have been wanting too. We have a big old one that was an engagement present from my parents 11 years ago. It still works great but it just takes up so much counter space. Plus the newer ones have lots of neat features.
