Hello everyone! I just thought I would start a new topic and it does

not involve a soap!!!

At my local toddler groups I feel so young and I am 28 in may! I was

just wondering if the trend that is here in Fleet(Hampshire) for older

mums (nearer forty that is) having babies is followed everywhere.

The Question i want to ask everyone is- How old are you? or how old

were you when you had your baby(ies)?

Sorrey to seem nosey but even at my ante-natal group iwas the 2nd

youngest and everyone one was in there late thirties!

Love

35 and 36

We had someone join the NCT locally explicitly to meet Mums who were

more her age - as she lives in what was my old HV patch, I can see

why!

What???

My mum was 25 when she had me (1966) and she is enjoying her

grandchildren and only approaching her 60th birthday this summer:-) So

when your Emma is my age you will only be 63.... hardly fossilised

these days!!

I was 31 (and 30 hours) when I had DD1, and 32 when I had DD2 (21

months between them)

(I was the joint 2nd youngest in my NCT A/N class, there was one other

30yo and a 24 yo the others were all over 36).

Number 3 (at the planning stage only...) will be a post 35 baby.

A friend of mine moved form London to the Midlands age 28 with her 3mo

baby who is now 5, she finds that the other mums of 5 yo are 22-26

roughly, and those her age (33) have teenagers! Makes life socially

quite hard she finds.

Hi ,

I'm 24 now, was 22 when Tabby (16 months) was born. I live in North

London and am the youngest of all the mothers I know - most of the

others are 29-35. I was the youngest by about eight years in my NCT

antenatal classes, thought I might be one of the youngest planned

homebirths for my midwives but I was beaten by a sixteen year old!

I do get a bit bored of people telling me I look too young to have a

baby - but I obviously look even younger than I am as I was asked if I

was old enough to buy a lottery ticket a couple of weeks ago !!!!!

I was 27, 30, 31, and 33.

We were the youngest in our classes, but my sister is a year younger than me and

her eldest is 11 and mine is 6 therefore I am definitely younger than her, or so

I keep telling her.

Last year her eldest was twice mine's age, so she was twice as old as me.

It's my logic and I like it!!!!

I am 34, I was 31 when DD1 was born and 33 when DD2 was born. A lot

of my friends were career girls but when we hit 30 the old biological

clock kicked in and so most of hte girls I was at school with now have

2, 3 or even 4 children!!

I was 29 when I gave birth; 28 through most of my pregnancy. Most

people in my antenatal (NHS hospital in London) group were a similar

age but I had no friends who were pregnant or had young children.

Have you found out about all the other groups for the NCT online?

I was 30 when I had DS, but turned 31 six weeks later. I was the

first of my friends to have a baby, but most have followed since.

My NCT antenatal class were all around the same age as me, and most of

my current branch (had DS elsewhere BTW) are all thirty somethings. In

fact of 99 members we have very few (perhaps less than 10 at a guess)

under 30.

I'm 29 and just last April I was asked for ID at a pub in Nottingham.

:-) Also until I was about 22 I used to get half fare on the bus!!

That was very rude of them. Did you complain? I bet it was one of

those nasty bouncers that moan about trainers and jeans as well even

though my trainers cost loads more than their poxy shoes. :-))))
