Guest guest
Dear , I am 43 now and I am sure that I have got Papillary TC while pregnant with my son, 15 years ago. 10 years ago I had my left lobe removed. When I noticed lump on my neck last year, I got pathology report from this 10 years ago surgery and it read: Papillary TC, 2mm. Nobody told me at the time that I had cancer. So now 10 years after, cancer is back with mets on lymph nodes both sides (neck). I had 2 surgeries: one last December, and second April. I had my treatment in June. This is just to give you an idea what I went through lately. Now, after each surgery I had fears that my pathology report will show something more serious than papillary TC. I still sometime think that I may have something else and each time I go to see my primary care DR. I asked if my diagnosis is the same. You are not alone with this fear. But remember this is only fear working on you. The chances to have something else are inexistent. Relax! Papillary thyroid cancer is a very slow growing cancer and don't worry about waiting...as you see I probably got it 15 years ago. Try to be positive and enjoy your pregnancy. You have a lot of things to dream about for your future....so dream and picture a great and healthy life... Love & Hugs Biljana > I was recently diagnosed with Papillary TC from FNA. I keep reading about the other types of Thyca and think I may have something worse? Has anyone been diagnosed wrong from the FNA? I am so scared, I am drivng myself crazy. I can not have surgery until after my pregnancy. I am only 15 weeks. I have such a long time to wait and wonder. > > -Scared > > > > >
