Guest guest
HI, When was 3 months old we went on the first flight with the dbb and we have now been on about 20 flights. We have only been asked to take his bar off one and I asked to speak to the person in charge because hated the bar at this point and I knew if I took it off and put it back on he would scream the whole flight. so I explained to the guy that it was a lot of work to put on and off and that I had never had to take them off beofr and he looked at them and said that if they are medical that I should never be asked to take them off of him and that I should just expect to be searched every time I went though so that is what I do it sometimes it seems like more work at the time ( I fly just me and the Baby) but it is nice to have a nice quite flight amandajlear amandajlear@...> wrote: We travelled from UK to Spain return just a couple of weeks ago and we had no problems at all. Security did have a feel around in the pram and gave a body search but didn't ask for the boots to be removed. Guest guest
We went to the airport to pick up relatives while Jake was in the DBB...we went thru the security checkpoint and of course he set off the alarms. Rather than having us take the shoes off, the security guard used a hand-scanner to scan his entire body and of course found that it was the bar setting the alarms off. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I just travelled a week ago with Owen. I was asked to remove them and send them through the x-ray machine. For us, it wasn't a big deal since Owen wears them 14 hours per day. I tried to make sure that he had done his full 14 hours by the time we had to go through security so it wasn't such a big deal for us. Guest guest
I did similar going to Iowa ... just left the shoes in the carry on bag. They had us set to search anyway because of all the medical crud we had with us, so it was easier for them to deal with packing and unpacking the carry on (especially since they had to anyway because of the epi-pens, inhalers, and other meds). That way I just got to sit back in the chair and laugh at their attempts to get everything back into the bag the way I had it! hehe Angel Security Checkpoint with DBB >Date: Sun, 28 Mar 2004 15:04:51 -0000 > >When air traveling, has anyone ever had to take off their child's >shoes and DBB to pass through the security checkpoint at the airport? > >My child is in the DBB full time, so I can only imagine the scene we >will cause if we are asked to take them off. cries and cries >until we get them on and get her calmed down. > >I was just wondering what the experience of others has been. > >Thanks, > > > _________________________________________________________________ Use MSN Messenger to send music and pics to your friends http://www.msn.co.uk/messenger
