NEW: My unborn baby has Club Foot and and Omphalocele

Hello Everyone,

Let me introduce myself.

My name is e, I am 23 and I am currently expecting my first baby

(EDD JUNE 11, 2004) and at my first Ultrasound I was told that my baby

might have club foot and an omphalocele.

So far, I am at bi monthly ultrasounds to monitor the omphalocele and

have met with one of the surgeons who might be performing Gracie's

Omphalocele Closure operation. I have yet to meet with someone for

the Club Foot Issue. It appears that Gracie has bilateral club feet

and I have some questions.

1. Is anyone else here in the same situation as I am in?

If so, or even if not, Please share your stories....

2. If so, how have you been managing? I mean in terms of both

procedures that need to be done?

I have been foretold that Gracie will be in the hospital for about two

weeks while she has the closure done, and I want to know if they

will/should try or start the Ponseti method within that time frame and

how to go about requesting it?

3. If anyoneone wants to share their stories (*Especially Success*)

stories, I would appreciate and welcome it.

We are leaning on God and Know that all will be well, and no matter

what we will love her no matter what.

Hi! I'm Dedet. I also found out that my unborn child has club feet. We're due

around the same time -- while i'm due on june 25, we're scheduling a caesarian

section around june 14.

I don't have any stories to share yet, but jsut wanted to let you know that

we're walking similar journeys on the same time frame. I also found a website --

Welcome to the group. What is omphalocele? I have never heard of that

before. Sorry, I wasn't any help. My son is now a year; and is doing good.

He has b/l c/f. The first couple of months were hard because of all the

appointments, but now we are down to every 4 months. SO it has gotten

easier. Just remember God will not give you more than you can handle. If you
