I usually prefer classes. Much harder for me to cheat myself out of a full

workout, and I find the right class and instructor to be very motivating.

I've done Jazzercise for several years and really love it. Very non-judgmental,

supportive, fun atmosphere. I also joined a health club which just opened a

couple of weeks ago. I've been trying out various classes there. Some I've

really loved - yoga especially. Some I've not been too fond of - spinning is not

my thing, I don't think. That one surprised me, as I used to bicycle long

distances in college (over 100 miles a week). And it might be the instructor

that I didn't like, so I'll try again with a different instructor. The class

that I went to had far too much yelling for my taste - and not motivational

" keep up the good work " type of yelling, but " I said 120 rpm, let's go!!! " and

" you can do better than that " , " don't wimp out " , etc. - not my style. Remind me

not to take the Basic Training class - it says " drill sergeant " right on the

schedule LOL. I'm looking forward to trying some water aerobics and several

other classes, as well as rock climbing.
