I think we can all appreciate how disappointed you are.

While a quick TSH rise once (or twice or thrice) doesn't guarantee it will

always rise so quickly, it does seem curious that your TSH is only .67 after 10

days off meds.

I have never heard of thyca cells preventing TSH elevation; if they did, then

we wouldn't be able to go hypo for a first treatment or recurrence. It's

extremely unusual that someone without a thyroid and

not taking replacement hormones would not eventually have their TSH rise.

If your TSH continues to refuse to go up, you may want to consider using

Thyrogen to help it along (although I'm not so sure that's a great idea for

nursing mothers).

I don't think it's likely that the lab could be off so drastically, but I'd say

it's worth retesting.

I'm sorry I don't have a more concrete answer for you; please let us know what

your doctor suggests.
