Hi everyone, I went down to digest from individual emails so I am sending

out one email to all the lastest that I have read.

To all the parents that are experiencing blisters/pressure

sores/problems/crying with their clubfoot child, I want you to know that

from my personal experience with Ciara's feet, it helped me soooooo much to

" talk " on the phone to other mom's on this board who have gone through the

same experiences. That being said, feel free to call me anytime to talk

about the DBB/blisters/etc and if you email me at gjshelby@... I

will give you my number, or you can give me yours and I can call you.

Nothing helps to ease your mind more than to talk to someone else who has

had this same experience and to hear different tips/suggestions from them. I

have lots of cell minutes and I don't mind calling you at all :) I don't

know what I would have done without for all her phone calls/help that

she has given to me. Thank you so much again :)

For those that are new here posting and didn't know; Ciara had severe

bilateral pressure sores from the 1st day in the DBB. I thought they were

blisters but found out otherwise as they did not heal with her wearing the

DBB and the skin broke open after turning a dark purple color and looked

like small ulcers. She ended up out of the DBB for one week (open to air)

and five weeks total in casts before they healed. Wearing the casts for that

extra amount of time was all worth it. She healed and when she went back in

the shoes, the brace shop at Shriner's had cut holes in the backs and she

has not had any problems.

Ciara's update: She went down to 16 hrs a day of wearing her DBB Saturday

and she is soooooooooooo happy, not to mention how happy we are! I never

thought I would see this day and sure enough, it is here after a long, hard,

but very worth it struggle.

PLEASE feel free to email me your number or ask me for mine so that you can

have someone else familiar with your son/daughters situation, to talk to. It

really helped me.

I am so grateful every day of Ciara's life, that I found this website and

all of the wonderful helpful people on here, not to mention Dr. Dobbs and

his awesome nurses that have helped Ciara's feet be the way they are today.

Thank you again God!!

Sincerely,

Gia Shelby, proud momma to my beautiful Ciara (DBB 16hrs/day, bilateral

clubfeet)

PS. Hope you can see the pictures of her below:
