Guest guest
I am not trying to down play your concerns as you know your son better than what I'm reading. However, nothing in your post seemed alarming to me. The things with an * are things that I would mention to our ped. about our son and NONE of them were concerns.... 6 months~sitting up (we'd still have to put pillows behind as it wasn't until 8 months that he really was sitting up without falling back) *8 months rolling back to stomach...prior to this he did it once or twice *9.5-11.5 months army crawling but not regular crawling (not all babies do this) *11.5 prior to this could not get to sitting position from laying down 11.5 months started regular crawling and cruising 14.5 months just starting to walk (up until 17-18 months it is not a concern if they aren't walking...both ped. and PT told us this which I knew from other kids that have absolutely no delays). My ped. only started asking us at 12 months if he could say any words. Prior to this it is not a concern. Obviously they should be babbling but not necessarily saying words. There may be other things but these are some of the big ones that I remember. One of my nephews is exactly one week older than my son and there are things that he is not doing yet that my son is and vis versa. Both boys are perfectly fine developmentally. Is your child an observer? If so, that could definitely play into it. A friend of mine who has a baby the same age as my son was surprised at how active my little guy is but once again her child is more the observer and her child is still on target.
