Guest guest
Hi Sylvere, Sydney had brachycephaly which is flat in back, rather than asymmetry which is plagiocephaly. with brachy the measurement is Cranial ratio = cranial width/cranial length. in other words how wide the head is relative to the length front to back. normal is around 80%. so by measuring sydney's head side to side, then front to back then dividing you get 85%. with plagio you generally look at how may mm difference there are between the two diagonal measurements of the head. sydney's diagonal measurement are off by about 3.5 mm which is juat about normal (I think normal is 0-3 mm), so she doesn't have plagio. -christine sydney 16 mo starband grad > > > > > > Well we decided that we were done with the helmet > > yesterday and the > > > Orthotist said his head was good enough to stop. > > His score was between > > > 90 and 91.
