Guest guest
Okay ladies - Now raise your hand if you are having twins. Now put your hand down if you had IVF or another treatment likely to cause twins. How many does that leave? My surgeon told me that we are so very fertile after the surgery that he has had a number of patients have twins. Yikes! Congrats to everyone, IVF, treatments, or good old way - one, two or more babies! Hugs
Guest guest
I think it's wonderful that so many women are having multiples. Any way that they were conceived. I can't wait to find out if I'm havin a singleton or more! *giggle* I did Clomid 50mg this last cycle that was the winner and helped me conceive. I think there's only one in there, but oh what a wonderful blessing 2 would be!! I wish everyone the best! Jackie
Guest guest
Congrats Jackie! I am nto sure that I could carry two but I agree, no matter how you get there - the result is still the same - and what a joy! Re: There are so many twins coming! Guest guest
Yes Anne, the Clomid 50mg did work after 3 cycles. I actually went and saw my OB in May (15 months post RNY) and said DH and I want to start TTC #3. He asked me to start doing BBT's and get to know my body a little better. I read the book (again) " Taking Charge Of Your Fertility " by Toni Weschler and began charting my cycles. I found that I Ov the first month on cd 20 and my Luteal Phase was short and the next 2 months I didn't Ov at all. So when I went to the OBGYN in August, he put me on Clomid 50mg. He said I had a 3-10% of chance of twins. I also had a HSG done to make sure my tubes were open (they do this is Xray, shoot dye up into your tubes and do Xrays to see if they fill at a good rate) he said most of his patients who undergo the HSG test, get PG within 3 months of this test as the tubes are wide open. I guess he was right, i got pg within that 3 month time frame! So I have no clue wether we have a singleton or more in this belly, but either way, I am totally happy! We are prepared for our family of 4 to be a family of 5, but look out, totally un prepared for it turning to 6! *giggle* Where there's a will, there's a way...we'll get prepared! Anne, if you want more info on TTC, please feel free to ask. HUGS~ Jackie EDD 7/04 ]

Guest guest
Thanks Jackie, I also went to my OB in May at 12 months post op RNY. Again he said give it 6 months and come back. I have not been temping because I am up and down all night LOL!! I have used OPK's and for the past 4 months the Clear Plan Easy Fertility Monitor. It all looks good. I am ovulating monthly, by the monitor and my mucus. I really need to calm down because I am stressing myself out. I go back on November 12th. I will keep you all posted. thanks again, anne
