Guest guest
My daughter wore a starband for severe brachy (starting CI about 97%), and had very good correction. I think the key was she had a very experienced ortho. I don't think the starband is better for brachy than the doc. If anything I think that cranial tech has a better overall reputation and well trained staff that would tend to make me choose them given the option. However we had a very good local starband provider and CT is over 400 miles away - so we went with starband (also I was totally clueless when I started all this). I would band quickly if you're not happy with your child's head shape - even if it is only mild/moderate. My daughter graduated from her band at 10 mo (started at 5 mo) and we didn't see any additional rounding post-band. I know all her correction was a result of banding. I'm thankful we got as good correction as we did, but her head is not perfect still.
