soft spot closing and starlite

hello, my dd gabbie is 6 months old and has been in her starlite for

about 2 months. she has always had a ridg along the front of her head

and the ped told me that it was just how the sutures were closing. her

soft spot was huge (front and back ones) when she was born the back one

closed fast and the front one has been about the same untill now, it is

almost completly closed. at what age do they normaly close, i know my 3

year old's took forever to close. my dh is convinced that the helmet it

making it close, is this possible? please any info would be appreciated
