Hi everyone,

We were banded on tuesday and he took to it well during the day.

The first night was not good. He was not too hot as I dressed him

down and there was little redness on his head.... I couldnt calm him

down, so I took it off the first night and put it back on in the

morning (Wed). He wore it all day Wednesday (was grumpy all day)

and I was able to get him to sleep with it on last night. He

usually sleeps through until 9:30am, but he woke up at 1am and

6:30am. At 6:30am I took the band off and found a large red area at

the base of his neck - I called CT and sent them pics, they said it

is due to him favoring that side at night and to try to encourage

him to lay on the other side. The band is back on, has been all day

today, but he is increasingly more and more upset. I tilted him

more to his right side for naps today, which seems to help, but he

is a miserable baby during waking hours.

Anyone PLEASE have any distraction tips? Please tell me he will

adjust and be my super angel happy baby again! I dont even recognize

his behavior - seriously he is normally the type of baby everyone

wishes they had.

Thank you.

, I would go back in for a check of the fit and to make sure that the cut is correct. My son had a bit of redness on the back of his neck from the band coming low and they shaved off a bit more for us and no issues ever since. I feel for you but want you to keep the faith and keep trying. We banded at 4 months and were done at 6 so at this young age you are only looking at 2 months or so. He can get used to it and will adjust. Just get back to Cranial in person to check the fit and the red spots, on the phone is nice for small things but crying and not sleeping and totally different child would be major things to me and warrant a visit back asap! We will keep you in our prayers and I hope things do turn around fast for you both. Tammy
