Hi all,

My sis just relocated from NC to Pgh. with her family. Her son was

just seen my a specialist who diagnosed him with plagio and tort.

His ped. in NC (actually 3 in the practice) did not feel he needed a

band so he is now 9 months old.

I have beebn reviewing all the helpful posts about Star Bands and Doc

Bands. Our twins both wore the Doc ands early on (at 5 months) so we

only have expereince with them. I have read from several posts that

with Star Band the orthotists mare not required to have

certification/training with the bands.

Does anyone have a recommendation of an orthotist in the Pgh. area?

Thank you so much,

, if your sister's ds is npt already in treatment, have her make

an appointment at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh at the

Cleft/Craniofacial center for evaluation. All of the starband moms I

have met in Pittsburgh (I am a repo mom) are seen at branches of Union

Orthotics. Your sister can get the information on locations from

Children's Hospital.

You can give your sister my email addy if you would like (res103198 @

) and I am happy to help.
