Guest guest
Hi Jana; I have never eaten at the Cheesecake Factory, nor have I seen a menu. I would like to, and I will be anxious to know how it is, and what you order, etc. My husband and I washed, vacuumed, waxed , and detailed our car today, and I earned 13 AP's, so we decided to eat out and go to Red Lobster tonight. Well, what a surprise! The have a new menu, called Lighthouse Selections that they just started using this past Monday, along with their regular menu. It has all the nutritional facts beside each menu item. They just hand it out with their regular menu. The selections are great! I had the half portion Tilapia 4 points; the garden salad with red wine vinaigrette dressing, 2 points; seasoned fresh broccoli, zero points; and a cheddar bay biscuit, 4 points, plus a large glass of iced tea. All for 10 points. I didn't even have to use my AP's. They had a lot to choose from. I felt so in control. I feel sure that now many more restaurants will do this also. It is such a big help. I sure takes the guess work out of trying to find the right food to eat out, and stay OP. The Chicken Teriyaki with rice really sounds good. So glad you found a place to check out the points. Good luck to you, and hope you have a really fun time at the Cheesecake Factory. Pat from K.C. Cheesecake Factory? Tomorrow, assuming I can get to the dentist and get my sore tooth seen to, I am invited to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. i went to their website; I have checked the Complete Food companion. It seems that maybe Chicken teriyaki with rice might be my best bet--6 to 8 points, near as I can figure it, for a regular serving. (I am one of the ones who orders the takeout box with the meal and halves the meal they bring, and takes the box home). However, does anyone have any good ideas for meals there? Anyone eaten at The Cheesecake factory and found something good to eat for less than the 20 or so points that could easily be racked up w/o even thinking about it? Thank you all in advance. Guest guest
I love Cheesecake Factory! My favorite is Thai Lettuce Wraps. I ask for it with no peanuts and no peanut sauce (but assure them that I do not have a peanut allergy). It's about 4 oz of chicken breast (grilled), 1/3 cup or so of pasta, lettuce, cucumbers in rice wine vinegar, cilantro, and carrots. You wrap the stuff in the lettuce and dip it into the sauces. There is a sweet chili and a tamarind sauce. I count it at about 7 points, and that's probably high. Ask for them to prepare the chicken without fat. The portabello burger is also good. Ask for no cheese and no mayo, but with dijon mustard. You can ask them for a salad instead of fries, and dressing on the side. Ask for no butter on the bun. The bun should be about four points, the mushroom 0 points, the salad 0 points, and the dressing 1 or 2 depending on how much you use. I also LOVE the fish tacos. Ask for it without any sauce. Be clear on this. For some reason I can say " no sauce " and they still put on some sauce. I say " just the fish, orange salsa, and cabbage, please. " Then ask for a side of mango salsa and put that on it. They come with two tortillas, but I just take one off each one. The tortillas are 1 point for two, the fish as far as I can tell is about 4 points. The black beans are 1 point for half a cup (but 3 for a full), and the rice is 5 points per cup, so I do half a cup of that. I figure the entire thing with half cup of beans and half of rice, to be about 10 points. For dessert if we have the points, Roy and I split a piece of key lime cheesecake. It's 18 points for the cheesecake, so 9 each. > Cheesecake Factory? > > > Tomorrow, assuming I can get to the dentist and get my sore > tooth seen to, I am invited to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. i > went to their website; I have checked the Complete Food > companion.
