Guest guest
From my point of view night-only is never an option, although some orthos think you need to wean a child off a band once you're done or wear it at night to avoid regression (we didn't do either of these). A baby can grow at any time. The band serves two purposed. First to keep pressure off the flat spot - this could be mostly achieved by nighttime only wear. But Second (and maybe more important) is that it puts gentle pressure on prominent areas of the head so it won't continue to grow there and direct growth to a flat area. If you just do the first part the head could improve by growing overall, and you would see some rounding, but the asymmetry and existing proportions are unlikely to improve. Aggressive repo addresses this by having the baby sleep/rest while putting pressure on the prominent area - thus redirecting growth. But it can't really hold growth to the extend a band can. -christine sydney 22 mo starband grad. > > > > Hi All.
