Hi This is really the first time that I have posted and introduced

myself, but I have been reading as many emails that come through as I

can and I noticed that Jenn and Staci live really close to me. I

live about 10 minutes outside of Indian Land, SC, but I actually work

on Hwy 160 (considered Steele Creek Road - close to Westinghouse

Blvd, Charlotte, NC). My son, Gunnar is 6 1/2 mos old just started

wearing the Hanger helmet 4 days ago. He will wear it for 5 hours

today. He's doing really good with it, but I do think we will need

to do some adjustments because I have noticed some red spots. He has

his first re-check appt on Thursday. He actually doesn't seem to

mind it much.

My insurance is with Unicare, and I actually had to pay for the

helmet up front before they filed with my insurance. My cost was

$1750.00 - Hanger filed with my insurance, and I am waiting to see if

I will be reimbursed anything now. I hated paying that much, but I

would do it again. Right now is the critical stage of his head

forming, and since we caught it early, hopefully, he will not have to

wear it that long.

I look forward to talking to you all soon - thanks - Kristi

Kristi,

Hey there and welcome to the group. My son is 7 1/2 months old and

getting the Doc band next week. Yeah, you are not that far from me.

I am off of 160 in the Hamilton Green subdivision. Glad to see your

son is doing good so far. I am not that familiar with the Hanger

Helmet, but I hope it has great success for you son.
