Guest guest
There ARE those times -- like slicing ONE onion, for example -- where it's too much trouble to put one into a chopping machine. So, , I want to try this. When you say " slice it in half at one end, " do you mean chop the end off? Or slice the whole thing through all the way down, so that the parallel lines from each concentric little onion on the inside run north and south, instead of one around the other in progressively smaller circles? If you chop it in half lengthwise, as described above, you now have TWO half onions, each of which you would then be slicing into horizontally, right? So now you have quartered your onion, right? From that point on, I've lost you ! But you know me -- Superditz! Can we do a " Take Two, in 'Onion Slicing for Dummies'? " Thanks. Annie I've been working on the whole onion chopping thing.
