Guest guest
My two grandchildren have been on GFCF since right after Christmas and they are not sleeping over 5 hours a night, a few naps thrown in. They seem to be more hyper than they've ever been. They both have bouts with dystonia and the dystonia seems to be getting more frequent. Could it be the gluten/casein leaving their bodies that is all of a sudden making them so hyper and having more dystonia attacks? Just wondering, I know this subject probably comes up about every month or so but I don't know where to look to find out what happened in other cases. Yours truly, Grandma in Ga. Guest guest
My advice would be to keep a sleep diary. We discovered that actually averages about 11 to 12 hrs.of sleep per 24 hr. period. Not bad for a 3 yr old. He may not sleep 11 to 12 hrs straight through, but he'll make it up with naps. Another thing to consider is melatonin/magnesium. Melatonin is supposed to put the kid to sleep and magnesium is supposed to keep them asleep. Kirkmans makes a cf/gf melatonin magnesium supplement.
