I feel so lucky in that way! I seem to be able to take almost anything. My mom was like you though. Dr's refused to listen to her and she nearly died twice because they insisted on giving her some meds and saying that is was a light, harmless dose. She suffered anaphylactic shock from an antibiotic and barely made it to the hospital. She used to be able to take a mild antibiotic but developed an allergy all of a sudden. When she got the flu or a cold I would say: "why don't you go to the Dr?". She would say: "why? What can he do? I'm afraid to take anything>" She would get sick for weeks when she got sick because she couldn't get relief from meds.

: Allergic/sensitive to meds Me too!

Definitely sensitive to all meds! I wish the docs would listen and prescribe a childs dose, but they say they are giving me the lowest adult dose available. I tried blood pressure meds for migraines. I broke one tablet in 1/4 took it and passed out for 12 hours! Of course I couldn't have had a headache, I was sleeping like the dead. Tireder I DO NOT need to be. Some anti depressants have had the irregular heartbeat, angina, and faintness with. Scares the begeebus out of me. Anything with stimulant properties and I get an instant migraine (Sudafed, Adderall, etc) Anything with sedation properties or side effects and I'm down for the count. Stronger antibiotics make me sick and dizzy, with headache. But like you I am terrified to take anything new due to never knowing what will happen. Have you tried digestive enzymes to help with everyday foods? I also cannot take St s Wort, 5 htp, dhea, and other herbals. Just isn't worth being sick. Hope you feel better today! Deb
