Day 5....going good...but heat rash??

Hi everyone,

Well, seems to be doing pretty good with his Starband. He is

waking up more at night with a little cry or wimper, but usually will

go back to sleep. He has always gotten up at least once for a bottle,

and he is still doing that, and then wanting another one closer to

morning! Maybe he is hot and then more thirsty?

I need advice, we were in the car for a while today, and he fell

asleep for about 1 hour on the way and 1 1/2 hours on the way back.

When we got home I took the band off, and his head was wet, and the

back left side of his head looked really pink. I left the band off

for a while, and 1 1/2 later after his bath with Aveeno baby soap it

still looked really pink. So I looked closer and it almost seems to

be a rash. It is on the whole left side of his head, and I noticed it

kinda lookes " blotchy " or " spotty " . So I didnt know whether to put

the helmet on or not for bed. It did look slighly better after the

bath, so I put it back on him after rubbing a little bit of

Hydrocortizone on it. Should I have put it back on, or maybe I should

have left it off??? Now I am worried it is going to get worse. He

really doesnt sweat a lot with it on at night, but apparently the car

is worse. I couldnt call anyone to ask...seeing as its Sunday night.

I prob should have left it off, huh? I hope it doesnt get worse....
