There is an herbal tea called " Smooth Moves, " you can purchase at most

nutrition stores. It works wonders! I believe it does have caffeine, so you'll

want

to use it in moderation if you're watching your caffeine intake.

I know that feeling...best of luck to you!

Ugh...that's an awful situation to be in. Before pregnancy, I had some

troubles. Grape juice or grapes almost always work for me. I have no

problem eating grapes by themselves but I dilute the grape juice because of

the sugars...

Good luck...!

re: Smooth Move tea, I used to have to give it to my daughter with mild

cerebral palsy because she had terrible trouble with constipation (her

muscles work on one side of her body and don't work so well on the other

side, so she'd get impacted and sometimes we'd have to give her an enema).

It has natural senna in it, which is a laxative. It helped her; I'd mix it

with some grape juice and water so she didn't get a huge dose of it. This

was when she was a toddler.

Haley,

I did this accidently... and boy, will I remember it when I am really

constipated!! I went through a 32 oz. bottle of apple juice in about 24

hours... and had diahrreah (sp?) like crazy! I was a bit constipated to

begin with, now... NO PROBLEMS there! LOL!! Try it, it might work! :~)

Good Luck!

Haley,

Ask your Dr. about Colace. I had the same problem my entire pregnancy, and

have problems still now as a result. Do not force yourself to go to the

washroom it can be very detrimental. You need a good stool softener, but ask

your OB what he wants you to take. I will probably be having surgery soon

(out-patient) due to the effects of constipation, as I now have a fissure. I

will spare you the details, but defintely ask your OB for a stool softener.
