Guest guest
Through the first few months of the diet my son went through times like that. From what I have read it is because at those times their body is still getting rid of gluten (which can take up to 8 months or more to be removed) so maybe it's just the gluten leaving the body. Guest guest
We had aggression and self-injurious behavior before we started the diet; my son would bash his head on the floor (one side of his forehead was purple and green for two months) and he would hit when he was angry. The first few weeks of the diet, this intensified, and then went away completely. The only time it returned was the first time I reintroduced soy into his diet - huge reaction, punching, bashing, screaming, loss of motor control, stimming - the works, and the second time was when I gave him chocolate. This was a little more subtle - first it affected his sleep - then his poop - then he started biting. Took him off chocolate, and it went away again. The giggling combined with aggression really sounds like a food reaction. Alison
