Guest guest
http://www.chg.duke.edu/patients/facts.html Duke University's Center for Human Genetics has been studing chiari malformations with Dr Milhorat and ASAP's funding assistance and this link has current good info on chiari including a discusion of the clustering or grouping tendancy that has been found sugesting a genetic factor may be present in some familys . For those of you asking about getting MRI's done if your child shows some symtpoms ..printing this page for your childs chart /and to share with the pediatrician when asking for MRI's may help justify to the insurance ( or the clinic protacols the doctor should follow ) why its warented . Since early diagnosis may help lead to lifestyle modifications and keep from exacerbating a mildly symptomatic person ...given where science is heading ...I'd say diagnosis someone as early as possible myself ...you may prevent dammage from every occuring by doing so ! ( And save the darn insurance company a LOT of money in the process _ LOL. in Paradise
