Guest guest
hey again, they still think cheyenne has scoliosis, but since they cant see it on the xrays. they said their scheduling her to a bone doctor i guess. i dont think it is severe because they didn't see it on the xrays. hopefully she can grow out of it. it's just a little scary. i'l update you when they schedule her dr apt. i am worried about it but still trying to stay positive. im gonna join the torticolis web site because it is hard. good luck with your son, i hope he is doing well as well. it's just when the nurse told me their was no bone abnormalities. i thought she was fine. she gets the helmet on monday, but this seems the longest week ever because i know she is going to wear it for 3 months. does your husband attend some of the sessions. i had to drag mine to a few. sometimes i feel like im doing her thing alone, but he has been going the ct with me. i do the therapy alone though. toodles. lexie, joey, joey, and baby cheyenne I'm not sure if the technical term for what my son has is 'muscular scoliosis'. The PT just told me there was nothing wrong with the spine itself and it was the tight muscle creating the curve and once he started walking it should straighten out on it's own. He hasn't had any xrays (the physical therapist said she could tell just by feeling), so I plan on asking the pediatrician tomorrow. He does seem much better since he's started walking, so hopefully the PT is correct. My son didn't need to wear a collar because his tilt wasn't very bad (he just couldn't turn left), but I've seen lots of posts of babies on the torticollis group that had to wear the collar. For some it really helped them to learn to keep their head up straight, so it's worth trying. It's also very common for babies with tort to have reflux. If she spits up too much you might ask your doctor about medicine to help. Just keep up with the stretches! They are a lot of work, but they are the key to resolvoing the tort in most cases.
