Decision to band - Treatment in Ohio

Hi, This is my first post ever and I appreciate any and all feedback!

Hi son is 4 mos and has been diagnosed (at 3 mos) with right tort,

mild plagio and moderate brachy. We've been going to PT for a month,

trying repositioning and we have seen a neurosurgeon and had an eval

with CT all within the past few weeks. We keep getting different

opinions (ped thinks head will resolve, neuro thinks case too mild to

need helmet/ band therapy but would reco STAR band, PT thinks DOC band

would help with shape and tort and CT recommended DOC as well). His

measurements are ceph index 97.81%, cranial vault 10mm assym, face 5

mm asym and cranial base 6 mm assym. I, of course, want to do what is

best for him, and husband agrees...but we are torn between the

treatment path. I've heard so much good about CT and the DOC band

that we are leaning toward this, but we would need to drive 4 hrs each

way to the office each week - she said it would probably be for 12

weeks! They currently have an office in Columbus, but are closing it

at the end of August.

I appreciate any input/ advice! Also, please let me know if anyone

around the Cincinnati area knows of anywhere closer for good

treatment. We are open to other options than the DOC band if we would

get comparable results and care.
