LOL silly guy :)I have 1/2 a can of diet coke a WEEK, I have it in

the house because my hubby drinks it. AND YES I NEED MY COFFEE.....

LOL it is my crack :) I make it at home because you are right

Starbucks can get very expensive.

I have learned in the past 2 years that as long as I'm eating healthy

and taking care of myself at 2 years out it is okay (for me

personally) to allow myself certain things like coffee (I have 1 cup

in the AM) or a few bites of desert. Moderation is the key. Before I

would have 3 cans of diet coke in the AM or if I stopped at 7-11 it

would be a 44oz diet coke OR I would have a huge slice of pie. I'm

happy. I can eat for the most part what I want but I'm in control and

I now eat in moderation. Before I wasn't in control. LOL don't get me

wrong there are some days where I would love to drown my sorrows in a

huge slice of pie (I do still struggle with this and probably always

will) but I know that isn't going to solve my problems or stresses

(big one for me). Once you are 18 months out and have lost the

weight you wanted to lose, I think if you can control yourself

different foods in moderation are fine.

I also know people who are 2 years or more out and they are hardcore

with the rules. Some people need the rules this far out and some

people do not trust themselves to stray from these rules. If I ever

find myself gaining weight and losing control, I will go back to the

hardcore rules. Last time I did the protein train, my goal was to

lose 5 lbs. I did it!! LOL took me 2 weeks but I did it. I lost my 5

lbs and when I get back from my vacation I want to lose 5 more

lbs. :)

Have a good evening!!!!!! :)

OXOXOX

" " " It might seem sad to some that I have to fake my own self out

Mikey .............. not sad at all!! This is right on!!! If this is

what works for you go for it!!! There is nothing wrong with this. We

all have to find what works for us.

Before I had WLS I would have not had the control I have now. LOL

DON'T get me wrong I have my weak (LOL very weak) moments BUT WLS has

giving me back control of my food " consumption " . Do I still think

about food and what I'm going to have for my next meal in an

obsessive way???? YOU bet!! It is a huge struggle for me. BUT I'm in

control and it is such a great feeling. LOL My way of dealing with

food is head games too.

I think if my hubby ever had WLS (he is about 40lbs overweight) he

would be the same as you. He is a big rules and structure guy. I

think it is the big brain syndrome!! :) He is an engineer and I must

say a very smart guy and you seem to be the same way Mike!! :)

Have a GREAT day!!!!!!

HUGS!!!
