Guest guest
Hi all, I have been lurking here for some time. My almost-6-month-old kiddo is currently in his band, and has been for a little over a week. Things are going well with him, and I am very grateful for the information I have gotten from this group. My son also has a twin sister (with a round noggin - who knows why??) and I am a member of my local mothers of multiples club. Plagio is a big issue for twins and multiples. One of the other moms in my playgroup just got bands for *both* of her twins! I knew about plagio because a good friend of mine banded her kid for brachy, so I was the repo mama from less than 2 months old, but he still wound up in a band, partly because he had some neck tightness (not torticollis, just a much milder version) that was untreated. Like many of you here, my pediatrician poo-poo'd my concerns at the 2 month and 4 month visits and told me his neck and head were both fine and to just do more tummy time. Aaaaanyway, I have put together an info sheet to go into the packet that we give new and expecting moms who join our mothers of multiples club. I shamelessly thieved images and info from all over the web, so please don't distribute this file elsewhere without some thought as to the images that I have used. But I would love any feedback you guys have as to anything I am missing, or things you would say differently. I figure, if this sheet can save even one family from having to shell out bucks, feel guilty, smell stinky-feet-smell on their baby's head, and generally deal with the hassle of banding, then I will feel good! I put the file called Info_on_Plagiocephaly.pdf in the files section, and would love any feedback, additions, or things I should leave out. Oh, and I put a couple of pics of my cutie in the photos section (Plagio babies V-Z), labeled Zach D. Thanks!! -Pam
