Guest guest
Good for you Eileen! That is exactly what I had in mind! Start slow.. get moving. It's really hard at first especially if you have been really sick. You could also try and do some breathing excersizes while you walk like breathing from your diaphram. My brother is a yoga instructor so he constantly reminds me to do this. It is hard at first but it is like the basis of health. Start slow. You go girl! you did it. Make sure to bring water with you! New foods made me react.. I just had to " get used " to it and using a good intro method and rotation really worked. Don't despair! Have you ever tried the laying on your back and bringing your knees into your chest making sure your spine touches the floor including your neck? This can help relieve gas! What about drinking some charcoal a little while after a new food too? Taking an epsom salt bath and maybe using some probiotic tonight? I hope the eggplant works ok. Did you eat it with the skin or just like make puree? So proud of you! Jodi
Guest guest
My mom always reminds me to have good posture and breathe deeply from the belly. Apparently that plus lemon water every morning garuntees a lifetime of health =)AlyssaGood for you Eileen! That is exactly what I had in mind!Start slow.. get moving. It's really hard at first especially if you have been really sick. You could also try and do some breathing excersizes while you walk like breathing from your diaphram. Guest guest
Way to go!!! I read that walking is supposed to be one of the best forms of exercise, even though it seems too gentle and easy sometimes. Perfect to get back into exercising though! I've been walking in the park with my mom, and it does usually make me feel better afterwards, actually relieves gas sometimes. GOod luck with your mint ; )AlyssaNo the computer hasn't gone nuts - I did it !!! been years but i did it! it was SO nice - slow and calming, peaceful and nice - probably not the exercise you had in mind Jodi ,but thanks it was nice - 3 of the kids rode bikes, I pushed the stroller and was able to do so !!!In Jan 08 I couldn't push a shopping cart or barely walk thru a store that was the beginning of scd - I so believe God led me to this diet and to all you amazing friends that I couldn't do this without - others just don't get it - and I always feel so horrible as I was barely sick for long and truly blessed to find it so quick - I can't imagine the lives you others have had to deal with - having horrible issues for many years- God bless you all - you're strong courageous people that i'm proud to call my friends!!! PS The kids wanted to know "How do you walk so slow Mom??" LOLlil punks!!! my one daughter was just fastest in the mile run at school too so i'll ALWAYS seem slow to her - LOL -my lil track star!!ok gettign gas pains - either the eggplant or the walk - perhaps I won't be walking again for a while -LOL - off to chew some mint :-)Eileen
