saw some old friends yesterday

Yesterday I went over and saw my best friend in Seabeck, Washington. Its

about 1 1/2 hours away. I decided to stay the night with her, since it was

so far away. I took mikayla with me, since I am nursing her I cant leave her

with dad, But I left the other 3 boys with him. I use to hang around these

people all the time in highschool, there is a whole group of us that use to

hang around together, girls, and guys. we were one big happy family. Well

when I married the first time, I mvoed to Wenatchee, and did not see them

much for 5 years, I moved back here in 1995 when I divorced from My hubby,

and hung out with them all the time,They are big time partiers to this day,

they still party every weekend, so i partied with them a lot when i was

single. Well when I met my hubby, i sloly quit hanging around them more and

more, til I just did not hang around them anymore(tehy partied way too much

for me anyway) I quit drinking totally when I married my husband, We ahve

been married for 3 1/2 years now. Anyway, I went over there, and of course

they had a get together with everyone, so I saw all my old friends. There

were a fw more I did not know(I did go to school with them, but did not know

them well) anyway, Mikayla needed to nurse so I went in the bedroom to nurse

her at first, I was just uncomfortable with it at first. Well I was in the

bedroom nursing her, one of the guys, I did not know well, asked what I was

doing, and Jenifer(my best friend) said nurising the baby, he said that he

thought that was the grosest thing for a women to breastfeed their baby(I

can hear what is going on) everyone of my frends were saying how good it

is, how healthy it is, and asking him what he thought women did before

bottles? he still said he did not care it was so gross, and very offensive

to him. well anyway, the first part of the night I jsut went into the

bedroom to nurse her(i was not drinking, but everyone else was) it was so

weird beign there wiht other people drinking, when you are not. but I

decided to jsut cover up in the living room, It was a pain on the butt to

leave everytime she wanted to nurse, which was quit often, being in a

strange place. that guy jsut would either leave the room, or walk by the

room if he saw I was nursing(I covered her up, so I had nothing showing)

anyway, some people jsut dont get it, and he is married too, and they are

talking about starting a family, and his wife probobly wont nurse due to

this, and it is sad, that he sees it as gross. sorry this got long, but it

really made me mad. I am glad to be home:-)
