Guest guest
You're kidding!?!?! It sounds like people are being ruder to you without her helmet than with it! That's terrible! Unfortunately, I don't have any answers for you, since my son just started with his bad. I am concerned though that I've been seeing quite a bit of hair in his band when I take it off each night. Now I really hope it stops falling out! Sorry you're experiencing such rudeness! Guest guest
sydney's hair started growing in while in the band (fell out for the first month). I would think it will start growing in now, but if you want it to look " normal " you will probably have to cut the longer parts off. Sydney had a funky hairdo for a while. I guess I'm lucky that no one said anything to me about it. Nothing to do with the band, but even now her hair is funny. Its not quite straight and not quite curly. she won't let me put clips/bands in it so it is a wild mess. people are always suggesting a ponytail :-) I'm sure it would look better, but she pull the ponytail holder out within 5 minutes. oh well. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > My daughter *just* started getting hair while wearing her STARband. > Now that she's graduated (yeah!), how long until the hair > breakage " rings " around her head start growing out? Guest guest
It's sad because she just started getting hair while in her STARband. Now she has hair but she really does look almost like she's been through chemo. There's at least one distinct line around her head where her hair is very very thin from the helmet probably breaking it off. Her hair is already only about 2 inches long and very VERY thin all around, so cutting it off would just make her bald again. You can see what I'm talking about in the picture below (if it shows up). There is a bald line around her entire head, and her hair was already so thin, just peeking through, like spring-time grass! I don't know what we're going to do. We'll make it through, just like with everything else.
