Guest guest
Yeah -- It was an amazing and very, very different feeling for me. I cannot remember the last time I have looked at a loaf of bread, or piece of bread, and not wanted to eat it on the spot. I LOVE bread!!! All kinds of bread. Particularly ones with hard crusts and hot, fluffy insides spread with butter! And sourdoughs. But any kind, just any old kind, will do. Cakes. Bagels. Tortillas.... You name it. And here I was in the bread section of the store and then later, at home, holding these loafs and not feeling any desire to eat them! That was truly remarkable. Kind of like my stomach had dissociated itself from my head. Very NOT me. I feel hungry again this morning, even though I think I stuffed my gut with veggies yesterday to get in my 5.5 cups worth. This is a most unusual eating plan. It's an adventure, and one I want to experience.... and if it works, just stay on it. Last night's chayote was really interesting. What an amazing veggie! And the braised cabbage was good, too. I'd never have thought of eating it that way. I'm not sure I'd eat them together if I weren't on P1, but, now there are several more veggie recipes to choose from. I like this way of cooking. It's just the LEARNING of it that takes time and isn't easy. So, we'll see what Day 5 (Or, if I start over, my new Day1) brings. Thanks fo the encouragement.
