Guest guest Posted October 6, 2005 Report Share Posted October 6, 2005 Hello, I was diagnosed as a diabetic back in February 2005, my A1C was 6.4. My doctor wanted me to control this with diet and exercise. My latest A1C was 5.0 in September. I have been reading the posts and have really learned lots of things. I am still trying to figure out how many carbs I should eat a day, but do eat more protein foods now than ever before. My BG is staying around 90 to 114 most of the time. I have started walking and am working up to 10,000 steps (5 miles) a day. My average so far has been 5,000 steps. This is great for me considering I wasn't doing any exercise before.
