Guest guest
Hi All, Dad has been on the diet since January. He started LDN 3 weeks ago and he does not feel that well. Anyway one of the reasons could be that he has candida. I have never even bothered to look into it. But i was reading up on it this week and he has alot of the symptoms and few of causes. I made him take the spit test and it was positive. He is going to the doctor next week to get a blood test. I know you can do a candida scd diet. But we are vegetarian and we are loving the diet. But if we had to cut out things like cheese. I think it would be to hard. I will buy extra virgin coconut oil for him. But I think I will need something stronger if he does have it. How long does it take to treat it. and does it stay away if you do not set it off again with antibiotics and other things. Or is it always in the body being dormant. Guest guest
Hello Sky, The length of treatment is an individual thing. For some a few months, others a few years. It is an ongoing thing because you can never get rid of all of it. You want to keep it in check. To start, it would be best to eliminate all fruit and fruit juices as well as high carb vegees, like squash. Take lots of homemade yogurt if you can. If not, another kind of legal probiotic. I don't think you have to eliminate cheese but someone else may be able to guide you on that. Let us know if you have more questions. Cheers, GERDS and chronic C. SCD 13.5 months > > How long does it take to treat it. and does it stay away if you do not set it off again with antibiotics and other things. Guest guest
Nystatin on top of diet is a great way to rid the yeast in the gut. Now if it had entered the blood stream there are herbal remedies such as candidate and kandidaplex that work very well in conjunction with candex. Probiotics also work if you don't want to go the nystatin route but, diet along with taking nystatin and probiotics are a MUST or it will just come back.Hope this is of helpSent on the Now Network™ from my Sprint® BlackBerryFrom: "subhadradasi2000" Date: Wed, 20 May 2009 12:56:51 -0000To: <BTVC-SCD >Subject: what is a easy way to get rid of candida Hi All, Dad has been on the diet since January. Guest guest
Nystatin has to be prescribed. I have a naturopath who gives me mine and it has to be the powdered form. Don't let the docs tell you that it only comes in pill or liquid because it does come in powdered form. I had a heck of a time getting this for my son since his neuro and pediatrician didn't believe that candida caused tics. Naturopaths are a great way to go and the others you can get from the health food stores. There is a website called yeastinfectionadvisor.com that is a wonderful site and will give u all the info u need to know about candida. Coconut oil is also great it has been found that candida albicans had the highest susceptibility to coconut oil (100%).Sent on the Now Network™ from my Sprint® BlackBerryFrom: aproposof@...Date: Wed, 20 May 2009 10:42:37 EDTTo: <BTVC-SCD >Subject: Re: what is a easy way to get rid of candida Where does one get these??? Guest guest
Yes candida does cause tics, after being on this diet and nystatin to rid the candida my son went from rages, self mutilation, thrashing, vocals tics( 75 times a minute) to nothing. Its amazing.
