Hi Kim,

I take miralax every 2 to 3 days. Sometimes I take a tbsp other times a cap

full as recommended. I don't like the idea of depending on something... From

what the doctors have told you and your research, is it better if I take say 1

tbsp every day?

Thanks,

GERDS and chronic C.

usually the doctor has you start out at one dose a day, but I've seen posts from

people who are taking it two or three times a day, on the advice of their

doctor.

had to cut back on daily fruit I mixed it in water. I've never noticed much of

a taste. I usually need to take any meds. or supplements with food, including

Miralax, as my stomach and upper GI are very sensitive to most things.

gastroenterologist, is that it doesn't matter when in the day you take Miralax,

the important thing is to be consistent. And it usually takes several days to

start working, as it is an osmotic laxative, not a stimulant.

issues. I usually can wait it out, and taking extra magnesium often does the

trick, but sometimes I also need to reach for a water enema. I had hoped SCD

would " fix " my motility issues, but alas they are part of my dysfunctional

digestion. Other things have improved dramatically since being on SCD, but not

this symptom.
