Guest guest
Here are some of the connections, in a nutshell. Mercury supresses the immune system, allowing yeast and bad bacteria to get out of control. Yeast and bacteria can cause leaky gut. Mercury itself may impact the functioning of cells in the gut wall leaking to leaky gut. Incompletely digested materials leaking into the bloodstream further stresses the immune system. Suppressed immune systems are prone to infections, so add antibiotics, get more yeast, etc. etc. Mercury also suppresses the activity of enzymes that break down peptides. So, . . . get rid of the mercury through chelation, the immune system should stabilize helping to bring yeast and bacteria under control, allowing the gut to heal, and reactivating enzyme function, making our children able to eat gluten and casein again. Not proven yet, but we can hope!
