New, Again

Hi all -

I'm a 30yr old returning member from about 2 years ago. I had lost

50lbs and decided to " take a break " after my first son was born. My

wife should be joining the list shortly and my mother even said she

was considering it.

Our biggest issue the first time around was the portions. I remember

we kept following the recipes and ended up with tons of food that we

had to have several nights in a row, screwing up the concept of a

daily menu. Has anyone gone ahead and modified the recipes in the

books to better determine a serving size? Portions are a big part of

my eating issues.

Also, I was reading the file section and I noticed something about

multivitamins and mineral supplements. Are there any recommended

multivitamins for South Beach? I'm curious if there are some vitamins

and minerals I may be lacking more than others that I should keep an

eye out for.

Silly question - by drinking 8 glasses of water a day....do they

essentially mean 8 cups of water? or more total?

Great to be back - my wife is a phenomenal cook and great at

modifying recipes on the fly so I hope we can contribute.
