Try a vitamin shop. I've seen them at Vitamin Shoppe (chain name.) Your

compounding pharmacist is smart.. since table salt IS sodium

chloride.

You should use pickling salt to avoid overdosing on iodine - unless you want to

become hyperthyroid.

Sea salt is about 85% sodium chloride and it contains nearly no iodine. It

would work fine, but for raising blood pressure, pure sodium chloride would be

better. Most of the 15% of sea salt that is not sodium chloride is from

potassium salts. Potassium aids the elimination of excess sodium, so that may

not be the ideal thing here. If you use iodized salt as a condiment, you don't

need to take it in your capsules. If you only use sea salt, then maybe a half

capsule of iodized salt occasionally would be a good idea. I remember seeing

salt/dextrose pills in an outdoor store once upon a time. Maybe that would be

easier to deal with??

The dextrose they use may not be pure dextrose. Technically, dextrose is

a monosaccharide, and legal. In practice, what is sold has dextrose (and

fructose and other sugars) may be a mix of sugars, many of which may be

di- or trisaccharides.

This is why they are not recommended.
